Somnath Iyer Somnath Iyer
Somnath Iyer - Chief Financial Officer, is a Gold Medalist in Commerce (Graduation) and a Chartered Accountant with about 17 years of post qualification experience. Somnath started his career in M/s Hoechst India Limited and had worked in M/s Asea Brown Boveri Ltd., Baroda, GE Plastics India Pvt. Ltd., Baroda, GE Lighting India Pvt. Ltd. (Lighting Product FMCG), Bangalore, The Himalaya Drug Company, Bangalore in various positions and was last working with ACG Worldwide, Mumbai (formerly known as Associated Capsules Pvt. Ltd) in the capacity of a Vice President - Corporate Finance before joining us.

Antony Raj Gomes Antony Raj Gomes
Antony Raj Gomes - Head - Quality Management has close to two decades of experience in Pharmaceutical Quality Management. Antony has a bachelor degree in Chemistry and a PG Dip in Industrial Analytical chemistry. He is an elected member to the United Sates Pharmacopoeia expert committee for Reference Standards and a member of the monographs committee for Indian Pharmacopeia . He has conducted GMP/Quality training for Ministry of Health staff for various countries such as Dubai, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Kuwait and Philippines. He is the recipient of IDMA (Indian Drug Manufacturer’s Association) ` Eminent Pharmaceutical Analyst ’ award for the year 2006 (the youngest recipient since the inception of this award).

Antony started his career in Cipla Ltd and was last working with Dr.Reddys in the capacity of Sr Director before joining us.


 Jatin Vimal Dr. Narasimham Jammi
Dr. Narasimham Jammi is presently the head of Biotechnology at Shasun Chemicals and Drugs Ltd. He has a PhD in Biological Chemistry from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City after which he trained as a postdoctoral fellow in Stanford University. He has several years of experience in protein purification and enzyme kinetics. He discovered two small molecule inhibitors of the protein kinase dependent on double stranded RNA (PKR) during his graduate studies. He worked in ReaMetrix in Bangalore for 4 years as Senior Project Leader and was an integral part of the team that developed and marketed India's first indigenous CD3/CD4/CD8 monitoring reagent for HIV positive patients. He is also the recipient of several fellowships and awards including the Huntsman Cancer Fellowship and the Stanford University Dean's Fellowship.

Kevin Cook Kevin Cook
Kevin Cook is the Operations director of Shasun Pharma Solutions Ltd. He has been with the UK unit since 1992. He is currently responsible for all SPSL Operations in the UK and is based at the Dudley UK Site.

He has 20 years experience in chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Previous managerial positions held include HSE, Supply Chain, Operations and New Product Introduction within the organisation and Various operational roles with Boots Pharmaceuticals.

He is a Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Graduate and MBA from Newcastle University

Dr. Michel Spagnol Dr. Michel Spagnol
Dr. Michel Spagnol completed the first part of his education in France, graduating as a chemical engineer from the ENSC in Mulhouse. In 1987, he moved to the US and completed his master and PhD at Stanford University under the supervision of Pr. Barry Trost.

After his graduation, he joined the Rhone–Poulenc group where he held several managerial positions in its central RD facility located in Lyon. The main focus of his work was directed towards the discovery and development of new catalysts for the synthesis of fine chemical.

During this time, Michel authored more than 50 patents and international publications and received numerous awards. In particular, he developed the first industrialization of Friedel Craft reactions using zeolithes and was honored by the green chemistry award.

Following a 2 years appointment as Business development director for the agrochemical market he returned to the field of R&D as vice president of innovation and technology for Rhodia’s fine chemical business.

In 2003, he moved to the US, as sales and marketing vice president for Rhodia’s pharmaceutical division. In 2006 following the divestment, he joined Shasun and heads the company’s sales and marketing worldwide organization for the CRAM business.
